Terms & Conditions
1. General
By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all treatments and services offered, including but not limited to osteopathic manual techniques, cupping, gua sha, medical acupuncture, blood tests, post-operative lymphatic drainage massage, and Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage.
2. Appointments & Bookings
-
All appointments must be booked in advance.
-
A booking is only confirmed once you have received a confirmation from us via email, phone, or booking platform.
-
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued where payment has been taken.
-
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time, with the full session fee still applicable.
3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
-
We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment.
-
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged the full session fee, which must be paid on the same day of the cancellation.
-
No-shows — where no notice is given — will also be charged the full session fee, payable the same day.
-
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in prepayment being required for future bookings.
4. Health & Medical Disclosure
-
All clients are required to complete a full health consultation and intake form prior to their first treatment.
-
It is your responsibility to disclose all relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, recent surgeries, and any other health information that may affect your treatment.
-
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may affect the safety and suitability of your treatment, and we accept no liability for any adverse effects arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided.
-
Certain conditions may contraindicate specific treatments. We reserve the right to decline or modify a treatment if we deem it unsafe or unsuitable for you.
5. Medical Acupuncture
-
Medical acupuncture is performed using single-use, sterile disposable needles in accordance with safe needling guidelines.
-
Whilst every care is taken, acupuncture carries a small risk of minor side effects including bruising, soreness, light-headedness, or fatigue following treatment.
-
You will be asked to provide informed consent prior to treatment.
-
If you are pregnant, have a bleeding disorder, or are taking blood-thinning medication, please inform us before booking as this may affect your suitability for acupuncture.
6. Cupping & Gua Sha
-
Cupping and gua sha are therapeutic techniques that can cause temporary skin marking, redness, bruising, or discolouration as a natural result of the treatment. These marks are not harmful and typically fade within a few days to two weeks.
-
By consenting to these treatments, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of temporary skin marks and agree not to hold us liable for their appearance.
-
Please inform us of any skin conditions, sensitivities, or medications prior to treatment.
7. Osteopathic Manual Techniques
-
Osteopathic manual techniques are hands-on treatments aimed at improving musculoskeletal function and overall wellbeing.
-
You will be asked to provide informed consent prior to treatment, and a full case history will be taken.
-
Mild soreness or discomfort following treatment is normal and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours.
-
These techniques are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact the emergency services immediately.
8. Post-Operative & Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage
-
Post-operative lymphatic drainage is a specialist treatment intended to support recovery following surgery. It is your responsibility to obtain clearance from your surgeon or treating physician before booking this treatment.
-
We reserve the right to request written medical clearance before proceeding with post-operative treatment.
-
We do not accept liability for any complications arising from treatment where full and accurate post-surgical information has not been disclosed.
-
Brazilian lymphatic drainage is a non-invasive treatment; however, all relevant health information must still be disclosed prior to treatment.
9. Blood Tests
-
Blood draw services are available for clients who have purchased their own approved test kit from a recognised provider. It is your responsibility to ensure your kit is valid, unopened, and brought to your appointment.
-
We also offer a range of bookable blood tests including men's and women's wellness panels, cancer screening, and menopause testing.
-
Blood tests and their results are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a medical diagnosis. You are advised to share your results with your GP or a qualified medical professional for interpretation and advice.
-
We accept no liability for the accuracy of third-party test kits or laboratory results.
-
Blood draws are performed using sterile, single-use equipment in line with safe practice guidelines.
-
If you have a known clotting disorder, needle phobia, or are taking blood-thinning medication, please inform us prior to your appointment.
10. Consent
-
Informed consent will be obtained prior to all treatments. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time during a treatment, and the session will be stopped immediately upon request.
-
Consent forms must be completed honestly and in full. Submitting false or incomplete information may affect the safety of your treatment.
-
Clients under the age of 18 must have written parental or guardian consent before receiving any treatment.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
-
We are committed to protecting your personal and medical data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
-
Your information will only be used for the purposes of providing your treatment and will never be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law.
-
You have the right to access, amend, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us directly
12. Liability
-
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the safety and effectiveness of all treatments, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results.
-
We accept no liability for any loss, injury, or adverse reaction arising from treatments where full and accurate health information was not disclosed prior to the session.
-
We are not liable for any personal belongings lost or damaged on the premises.
13. Code of Conduct
-
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all clients.
-
Any form of inappropriate, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour will result in the immediate termination of the session, with the full fee remaining payable.
-
We operate a strict professional boundary policy. Any inappropriate requests or behaviour will result in the permanent refusal of future bookings.
